Flight Lieutenant Hallway has carried out over 400 hours on Beaufort torpedo bomber instruction, most of the flying being performed at 60 feet above sea level. Since December.1942 he has taken over the instruction on Marauder aircraft and during a period of three months 32 Marauder pilots completed a course under his instruction. It has been entirely due to his skill and courage as an instructor that many torpedo pilots have gained confidence in their aircraft. Flight Lieutenant Hanway has displayed fine ability as a pilot.” Detail provided by H. Halliday, Orleans, Ontario.
